Account
While it will break our hearts, you can cancel your FamCinema account at any time. But just remember, you will also be breaking our heart. No pressure!
NOTE: This is the only way to cancel your account and end your membership. Signing out of your account or deleting the FamCinema app doesn't cancel your account. That's not us holding on, just the way the tech works.
Changing your password
If you know your password and can sign in to FamCinema, but want to change it (which you should make a habit of doing every 3-6 months), go to Profile Section You can also go to your account page and choose Change password on any non-Kids profile.
Resetting your password
If you can't sign in or can't remember your password, don't worry! You'll just need to reset it by email by visiting: Forgot Password

Note that we do not store any payment information on our server or website as we go through Stripe for all transactions.

No worries! Problems saving changes to your FamCinema account information are usually caused by a pesky browser add-on or a browser configuration that is preventing the FamCinema website from loading properly. Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
Clear the FamCinema cookie
Restart your browser
- Quit your browser.
- Reopen your browser.
- Try FamCinema again.
If you're still having trouble after following the browser troubleshooting steps above, try restarting your preferred browser with all add-ons disabled:
Restart Firefox without add-ons
- Click the Firefox Menu Button.
- Select Help.
- Select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
- Once Firefox has restarted, attempt to change and save the desired settings again.
Disable Chrome Extensions
- In the Address Bar in Chrome, type chrome://extensions.
- In the list of extensions, uncheck any boxes that say Enabled.
- Navigate back to FamCinema and try streaming again.
- If these steps resolve your issue, you may want to try enabling your extensions one by one to see which one is preventing pages on the FamCinema site from loading properly.
Disable add-ons in Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer 9
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click the Tools button, and then click Manage add-ons.
- Under Show, select All add-ons.
- Select an add-on, then click Disable.
- Repeat Step 4 for all add-ons.
- Restart Internet Explorer.
- Try changing and saving your desired FamCinema settings again.
- If these steps resolve your issue, you may want to try enabling your add-ons one by one to see which one is preventing pages on the FamCinema site from loading properly.
Internet Explorer 8
- Click the Start button.
- Select All Programs.
- Select Accessories.
- Select System Tools.
- Select Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).
- Try changing and saving your desired FamCinema settings again.
- If these steps resolve your issue, you may want to try enabling your add-ons one by one to see which one is preventing pages on the FamCinema site from loading properly.
Internet Explorer 7 (really?)
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click the Tools button.

Sharing your FamCinema account
A FamCinema account is meant to be shared among the people living together in one household. If you make a purchase and watch it, then give your account information to another person who opens your account to watch the same already purchased content, your account risks suspension and closure. Please remember that “sharing” in this manner amounts to stealing and it only takes away from our ability to create more content that is specifically targeted to Muslims. We want to keep sharing amazing, fresh content with you and your family that makes them proud of who they are – please give us that chance.
Here are some solid tips for keeping your account and personal information safe.
- Use a password for FamCinema that you don't use anywhere else
- If you use the same email and password combination for more than one website, app, or service and a hacker gains access to one, they can then use that email and password to take over any other account that uses the same combination.
- Your password should ALSO be:
- Different from anything else you use (and have a different pattern)
- At least 8 characters long
- A mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols
- Not easily guessed - such as “password,” “12345678,” or use any personal information (name, birthday, address)
Remember that a password manager can make it easy to keep track of several passwords, so be unique!
You can update your password from your Account page, or you can send yourself a password reset email or text message.
Other things you should probably do for your safety
- Sign out of unused or unrecognized devices (like when you buy a new laptop, phone or tablet)
- Be aware of fake messages and websites (phishing)
- Report fraudulent or suspicious activity
- Add a phone number for password recovery
- Keep your computer safe
- Report security flaws to us

Resolve payment issues
If there is a problem with your payment method, here are some of the most common causes with suggestions to resolve the issue.
- Payment method was declined
- If the bank or financial institution declined the charge:
- Check that your payment information such as postal code, security code, expiration date are correct.
- If that doesn't help, go to the Manage payment info page. You may need to sign in if you haven't already. You can also try a different payment method.
- If everything is correct, you can retry your payment.
- If you're still having trouble, make sure your payment method supports e-commerce transactions.
- Payment method is not accepted
- There are many options to pay for FamCinema including credit or debit cards, and third parties. If one of our accepted payment methods is not working, please contact us at support@famcinema.com.
There are a few reasons you may be seeing a charge that is more than you expected.
- Taxes or VAT - Depending on where you live, you may be charged taxes in addition to your subscription price.
- Fees - In some countries, card companies may charge an extra fee for cross-border transactions. Some countries may change the currency to USD even though we charge in local currency.
- If you recently changed your payment method or retried a declined payment, you may see an authorization request that appears as a pending transaction on your statement. Authorizations are not charges but may affect your available balance until your bank releases the funds in a few days.
- If the authorization request consumed the available balance on your account, then we will be unable to process the FamCinema charge. If this happens, you will need to add funds to your account or use a different payment method.
If you are seeing multiple charges or charges that you believe to be unauthorized from FamCinema, check to make sure that someone in your household (because of course you're a good Muslim who wouldn't give your account information to someone else to use) didn't purchase content without your knowledge (the most common reason).
If you have charges on your statement from FamCinema that you weren't expecting, follow the steps below that apply.
- Charged by FamCinema but don't have an account
- Someone may have started an account with your payment method
- If you never signed up for FamCinema or suspect someone is using your payment information for a FamCinema account without your consent, please contact us immediately.
- Still being charged on expired card
- Your bank may have updated your credit or debit card information
- Banks may automatically update credit or debit card numbers when a new card is issued. This update allows your card to continue to be charged, even if it's expired. You can remove or update your payment information at any time from your Account page.
If someone is using your account without permission, do the following to prevent further use:
Change your FamCinema password.
We recommend using a password that is:
- Unique to FamCinema and not used for other websites or apps
- At least 8 characters long
- A combination of letters, numbers, and symbols using both upper and lower-case letters
- Not easily guessed - such as “password,” “12345,” or your personal information (name, birthday, address)
